In a significant development, the Special Security Forces in Marib Governorate successfully wrapped up their first specialized armament course on Saturday. This initiative, a collaborative effort between the branch’s operations presidency and the training department, marks a pivotal step in enhancing the operational capabilities of its members.
Elevating Operational Skills
Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Sabri, the commander of Marib’s Special Security Forces, emphasized the critical role of the course in boosting the practical skills of the participants. He highlighted its importance in preparing them to adeptly handle various situations under different conditions. Brigadier General Al-Sabri urged the trainees to apply the acquired training and skills practically, especially in security tasks and front-line combat against the Iran-backed Houthi militias.
He pointed out that this course, along with others, is part of a comprehensive training and qualification program designed to equip the Special Security Forces’ members with essential knowledge and skills. These are in line with the standards required of a security personnel representing the state. Brigadier General Al-Sabri also encouraged participants to maintain high security readiness and a keen security sense to prevent crimes before they occur.
Institutional Building Program
Colonel Abdul Khaliq Al-Sheikh, head of operations for Marib’s Special Security Forces, stated that the specialized armament course is integral to the unit’s qualitative institutional building program. This program was re-established by some of the nation’s finest, including the late commander Brigadier General Abdul Ghani Shaalan and his comrades.
Recognition and Awards
The closing ceremony was a moment of pride and recognition for the participants, who received certificates and symbolic awards for their participation and achievements during the course.
