In a significant meeting held today in the temporary capital of Aden, Minister of Finance Marwan Faraj Bin Ghanem engaged with Idris Abubakr, the Libyan Ambassador to Yemen. The two officials explored opportunities to enhance cooperation and coordination between Yemen and Libya in the economic and financial sectors.
The discussion highlighted the pressing economic and financial conditions facing Yemen. Minister Bin Ghanem addressed the substantial challenges the government currently encounters, emphasizing the need for decisive action. He outlined the government’s efforts, alongside the Ministry of Finance, to implement a comprehensive reform plan. This plan focuses on economic, financial, monetary, and administrative reforms, as well as initiatives aimed at combating corruption. Furthermore, the minister stressed the importance of transparency, governance, and accountability in these efforts.
Additionally, Minister Bin Ghanem reviewed various government decisions aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens. He noted that these initiatives also seek to increase the state’s overall revenues. By doing so, the government aims to bolster economic stability and support the recovery process.
