Saudi Arabia, as the chair of the Global Coalition for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, recently hosted a high-level coordination meeting in Riyadh. Dr. Manal bint Hassan Radwan, the Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment to supporting the establishment of a Palestinian state. She emphasized that this goal represents both a regional and international moral responsibility and is essential for achieving security and peace in the region.

The discussions drew upon the New York Declaration, former U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace proposal, and the Sharm El Sheikh Declaration. The aim was to ensure a cohesive approach that integrates diplomatic, humanitarian, and institutional pathways.

A Step Towards Palestinian Statehood

This meeting marked a pivotal step in developing a comprehensive action plan for managing the transitional phase and realizing the Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. The gathering also highlighted the urgent need for international support for the Palestinian Authority’s budget, calling on the global community to provide immediate financial assistance amid ongoing withholding of tax revenues.
