Joint Engineering Team Inspects Damage to Saleh Bridge in Lahj Following Heavy Rains

Bridge Assessment and Maintenance Plans

A combined engineering and technical team from the Road and Bridge Maintenance Fund and the Public Authority for Roads and Bridges conducted an inspection today of the Saleh Earth Bridge in the Al-Malah Directorate, Lahj Governorate. This inspection comes in the wake of damage caused by heavy rains and floods, setting the stage for the commencement of maintenance work by the Roads Authority, with funding from the Road Fund.

Led by Abbas Saleh, the General Manager of Emergency Maintenance at the Road Fund, along with Antar Al-Maghribi, the General Manager of the Al-Malah Directorate, the team assessed the extent and magnitude of the damage to the Saleh Bridge. The damage poses a significant threat to the movement across the bridge. The engineering and technical team cataloged the damages and began preparing reports and plans for necessary measures, embarking on an urgent maintenance operation to ensure the continuity of movement for travelers and transport across the bridge.

Ensuring Continuous Transport and Safety

The swift action to address the damages to the Saleh Bridge underscores the critical importance of maintaining infrastructure to ensure safe and uninterrupted transport. The collaborative effort between the Road and Bridge Maintenance Fund and the Public Authority for Roads and Bridges demonstrates a proactive approach to disaster response and infrastructure resilience.
