In a recent address, Major General Abdullah Salem Al-Nakhaei, the advisor to the Minister of Defense and Commander of the Naval and Coastal Defense Forces, underscored the critical importance of military discipline. He highlighted the need for maintaining high technical and combat readiness among naval units, formations, and bases.
During his speech at the Naval Command headquarters in Aden, Al-Nakhaei called for an enhancement in training and qualification for naval personnel. He emphasized that this training must align with the evolving military technologies seen globally today. Such improvements are essential to ensure that the forces remain competitive and effective in modern warfare.
Al-Nakhaei pointed out the necessity of maintaining high readiness levels in training and operational capabilities. This readiness is vital for effectively addressing the current battle to restore the state and end the ongoing coup, particularly in light of the serious historical challenges posed by the Houthi militia.
The Major General acknowledged the high readiness of the naval forces, including all their formations. He affirmed their preparedness to execute missions assigned by the political and military leadership, as well as the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff. He also appreciated the support provided by the Arab Coalition, led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, in the fight against the Houthi militia.
In a related development, the advisor conducted a site visit to the ship repair workshop and the naval base dock in Aden. This inspection aimed to assess the readiness of naval vessels for military operations, in accordance with the plans set by the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff.
Additionally, he reviewed the technical readiness of the fiberglass boats and performed a sea trial to ensure their operational safety and effectiveness.
Al-Nakhaei’s proactive measures reflect a commitment to enhancing the capabilities of the naval forces, ensuring they are equipped to meet the challenges ahead.
