Defense Minister Engages with Training Authority

Today, Defense Minister Major General Taher Al-Aqeeli convened a crucial meeting with the Training and Rehabilitation Authority in the temporary capital of Aden. The primary focus of this discussion was the implementation of training plans and programs designed to enhance the efficiency and readiness of the armed forces. This meeting underscores the ongoing commitment to prepare military personnel capable of addressing current challenges effectively.

Review of Training Initiatives

During the meeting, Minister Al-Aqeeli engaged with the leadership of the Training and Rehabilitation Authority, who provided a comprehensive overview of their ongoing efforts in training and rehabilitating military personnel. The discussion included an assessment of the coordination between educational and training institutions, alongside the evaluation of approved rehabilitation programs at the Higher Military Academy and the War College.

Importance of Curriculum Updates and Institutional Integration

Major General Al-Aqeeli commended the leadership of the authority, including Major General Mohammed Al-Shaari, head of the Training and Rehabilitation Authority, Major General Hussein Atique, director of the Higher Military Academy, and Major General Abdul Karim Al-Zumahi, director of the War College. He emphasized the need to intensify efforts and mobilize resources in accordance with established standards and regulations.

The Defense Minister highlighted the critical role of advancing the training and rehabilitation system as a fundamental pillar for establishing a disciplined military institution. He reiterated the necessity of updating curricula and training programs to align with contemporary military developments. Furthermore, he underscored the importance of unifying and integrating efforts between the Training Authority and military educational institutions. This collaborative approach aims to prepare and graduate qualified personnel equipped with the essential skills and knowledge to perform effectively in various circumstances.

The meeting also saw the participation of Defense Minister advisors, Major General Muwafaq Mansour and Brigadier General Ali Hatim, reflecting the government’s dedication to enhancing and developing the capabilities of the armed forces, thereby ensuring security and stability within the country.
