The Yemen Customs Authority participated today in an extraordinary meeting of the General Directors of Arab Customs. This significant event took place in Cairo, Egypt, and was led by Engineer Fadl Al-Ban, the Director General of International Relations and Cooperation at the Yemen Customs Authority.
During the meeting, attendees discussed and approved the draft of the foundational system for the Arab Council for Customs Affairs. This comprehensive document includes nine articles that outline the council’s name, establishment, responsibilities, meeting locations, and schedules. Additionally, it covers the council’s presidency, technical secretariat, budget derived from voluntary contributions, and general provisions.
The meeting concluded with a recommendation to elevate the draft project to the higher levels of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League for final approval. This step is crucial for the formal establishment of the council and its operations.
