Tarik Saleh Inspects Flood-Affected Areas in Al-Mokha

Continuous Monitoring of Humanitarian Conditions

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Tarik Saleh, recently visited several rural areas in Al-Mokha. His visit aimed to assess the humanitarian situation and the ongoing response efforts following the devastating floods that struck the region.

The Role of the Victory Road

During his field tour, Saleh observed the critical role played by the “Victory Road” agricultural route in safeguarding local communities. The recent natural disaster highlighted the road’s robust infrastructure. Its strategic engineering effectively reduced flood risks, directing water safely westward toward the sea, away from Al-Mokha.

Operational Efficiency of Water Drains

Saleh engaged with specialized engineers who provided insights into the operational efficiency of the water drainage systems and culverts designed within the project. They confirmed that these systems successfully contained the overwhelming water flows, preventing them from encroaching on residential areas. This made the road both a lifeline and a protective barrier for the community.

Acknowledgment of Humanitarian Efforts

Tarik Saleh praised the efforts of the humanitarian task force and their partners for their swift response to the disaster. He recognized their ongoing commitment to assisting those affected by the floods.

Connecting Key Regions

It is noteworthy that the “Victory Road” connects the governorates of Lahij, Taiz, and Hodeidah, enhancing regional accessibility and safety.
