On Wednesday, Tarik Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, conducted an official visit to Hays City, located in the southern part of Al Hudaydah Governorate. This visit aimed to engage with local residents and assess the current situation in the area.
Engaging with the Community
During his visit, Saleh toured the Grand Mosque and several key sites within the city. He took the opportunity to meet with citizens, discussing the atmosphere of the holy month of Ramadan and the challenges facing the district. Saleh listened attentively to their concerns regarding essential services and infrastructure projects needed in light of the ongoing circumstances.
Honoring the Fallen Heroes
Saleh also paid his respects at the memorial dedicated to the martyrs of the Western Coast battle, which honors those from various military formations. He praised the significant role played by the people of Hays in the fight to restore the state and combat the Houthi militia. He urged the community to continue their efforts until the country achieves liberation and defeats the coup.
Infrastructure Development Initiatives
In addition to his community engagements, Saleh announced plans to develop the main street in Hays City. This initiative will focus on improving infrastructure to enhance the city’s overall appearance and facilitate smoother traffic flow.

Saleh’s visit included several key officials, such as Walid Al-Qudaimi, the First Undersecretary of Al Hudaydah Governorate, Brigadier General Najeeb Warak, the Director of Al Hudaydah Security, and Matar Al-Qadi, the Director of Hays District. Their presence underscored the collaborative effort to address local needs and improve conditions in the region.
