Today, Tariq Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, chaired a joint meeting with the General Authority for Lands, Survey, and Urban Planning, alongside local authorities in Al-Hudaydah Governorate. The primary agenda centered on the execution plan for developing the master plan for the city of Al-Khawkhah.

Key Discussions on Urban Development

The meeting included a team from the General Authority for Lands, Survey, and Urban Planning, as well as Ayman Jarmash, the Director of the Lands Office in Al-Hudaydah. Walid Al-Qudaimi, the First Deputy Governor of Al-Hudaydah, also attended. Participants discussed the urban planning study, focusing on the master plan for Al-Khawkhah. They emphasized the importance of preserving state lands while creating plans that accommodate population growth and support investment opportunities.

Strategic Planning for Growth

Tariq Saleh stressed the need for the master plan to identify agricultural areas, construction sites, residential zones, and investment locations. He also highlighted the importance of designing modern neighborhood units and opening new streets to facilitate movement and enhance development.

Timeline and Support for Implementation

The Council member directed the team to complete the master plan within six months. He underscored the significance of adhering to the timeline to achieve developmental goals. Additionally, he instructed local authorities to provide all necessary support to ensure the team can execute their tasks efficiently and swiftly.

In response, the team from the General Authority for Lands, Survey, and Urban Planning reaffirmed their commitment to begin work immediately. They aim to develop a comprehensive plan that aligns with the sustainable development aspirations of Al-Hudaydah’s liberated capital.
