Tarik Saleh Emphasizes National Unity in the Fight Against Houthi Militias
Meeting Highlights Unity Against Iranian Influence
Tarik Saleh, a member of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, asserted that a unified national project is essential for restoring the state and defeating the Houthi militias and their Iranian agenda. He made these comments during a large gathering of military and civilian leaders in Al-Khoukha, located in the Al-Hudaydah governorate. The event was themed “Al-Hudaydah: The Gateway to Peace and Victory.”
Support for Joint Forces
Saleh praised the significant public support for the joint forces on the western coast. He noted that this widespread backing reflects a high level of national awareness and trust among the local population in these forces. Their crucial role in the battle to restore the state and counter the Iranian project remains paramount. He reiterated the commitment to the goal of state restoration.
Call to Stand Behind Fighters
Saleh emphasized the importance of solidarity behind the fighters stationed at the front lines. He stated, “The rifle of liberation will restore our stolen homeland, which the Iranian project has devastated.” He highlighted the need to build a unified army that protects all Yemenis without discrimination. He criticized sectarian militias, asserting that they do not build a state but rather tear it apart. Saleh specifically referenced the so-called “Iranian Unity Project,” which he claims Iran uses to fragment the Arab arena to serve its expansionist agenda.
Warning Against Houthi Threats
The council member warned of the dangers posed by the Houthi militias to Yemen’s future. He pointed out that these militias invite foreign ambitions to threaten the nation and destroy its infrastructure. Saleh argued that Iranian factions have done nothing for Palestine, as they claim, but have instead subjected the Palestinian people to brutal oppression, which continues in Lebanon.
Commitment to National Resistance
“We must restore our state,” Saleh declared, affirming that the national resistance remains steadfast alongside the people of Tihama. He believes that liberating Tihama will pave the way for the liberation of Sana’a and every inch of the nation tainted by the Iranian project. Saleh reiterated the resistance’s commitment to pursuing peace that fulfills the goal of state restoration, while also focusing on development alongside its military role as a national force combating Iranian influence in Yemen.
Recent Achievements and Future Initiatives
Saleh highlighted a series of achievements in the western coast region across various sectors. He announced the upcoming opening of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Hospital in Al-Khoukha. Additionally, he revealed an initiative from the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aimed at enhancing energy projects in Al-Hudaydah. This initiative will increase the capacity of solar power stations from 5 megawatts to 10 megawatts each and will see the establishment of new stations in Hays and Al-Khoukha.
Educational and Humanitarian Efforts
Saleh called for the formation of a committee to oversee the implementation of the Al-Hudaydah University project. He praised local authorities for their efforts in development and acknowledged the humanitarian cell’s role in addressing the flooding disaster. He emphasized the importance of educational institutions in fostering awareness, where families play a crucial role. Furthermore, he stressed the need for oversight from religious endowment offices to ensure that religious discourse remains tolerant and noble.
Local Leadership’s Support
Dr. Hassan Taher, the governor of Al-Hudaydah, welcomed Saleh and commended his efforts, along with the generous support from the UAE, to alleviate the suffering of citizens amid the exceptional circumstances caused by the Houthi war. He underscored the significance of the gathering and reaffirmed the unity of the people of Tihama around the joint forces on the western coast.
This meeting marks a critical step in consolidating efforts to restore stability and peace in Yemen, as leaders unite against common threats and work towards a brighter future for the nation.
