New Development Projects Planned for Al-Mokha

Strategic Vision for Growth

Tarik Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, announced that Al-Mokha is set to embark on new development projects. These initiatives align with a strategic plan aimed at transforming the city into a model for state-building. Saleh praised the local community’s cooperation with local authorities and security forces, emphasizing the importance of collaboration.

Commitment to Sustainable Development

During a meeting with local leaders from the Friday and Al-Zuhari districts, Saleh stated, "Anyone who wants to build a state can do so with minimal resources. Everything achieved in Al-Mokha and the western coast stems from a vision we hold for sustainable development." This commitment underscores the ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and community well-being.

Educational Advancements on the Horizon

Saleh announced a partnership with the President of Taiz University to establish a new college in Al-Mokha, potentially expanding to three colleges. This initiative aims to elevate the educational landscape in the coastal city. Additionally, the establishment of three educational complexes and the rehabilitation of several schools in the western coast further support this educational development.

Encouraging Private Investment

Saleh urged local leaders to collaborate with authorities and security forces to prepare Al-Mokha for private sector investments. He highlighted that the additional power station project exceeds the city’s current needs, aiming to attract investments and facilitate the construction of factories.

Infrastructure Enhancements

The Presidential Council member pointed out the successful completion of the Al-Mokha water project, along with improvements to the port, airport, and road networks. These developments position the city as an attractive destination for investment and residential opportunities.

Addressing Water Scarcity in Taiz

Saleh also addressed the water scarcity issues faced by the besieged city of Taiz. He noted, "Recent days have seen progress on the Sheikh Zayed water project, and we will resume work to ensure its success for the residents of Taiz."

Key Attendees

The meeting included key figures such as Major General Mujahid Al-Hazourah, the head of the Western Coast Security Sector, and Major General Najib Warak, the Director General of Police in Al-Hudaydah Governorate. Their presence underscores the collaborative efforts to enhance security and development in the region.
