HADRAMOUT, YEMEN – Today, Salem Al-Khanbashi, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadramout, conducted an inspection of military sites at Al-Riyan International Airport. These sites suffered damage and looting during recent events in the province.
During his visit, Governor Al-Khanbashi met with leaders from the National Shield Forces and various military and security officials. They provided him with a detailed overview of the extent of the damage inflicted on these sites. The governor emphasized the commitment of both the state leadership and local authorities to protect national resources, enhance security, and safeguard vital installations.
Governor Al-Khanbashi praised the heroic efforts of units from the Hadrami Elite Forces. He acknowledged their steadfastness in securing the airport’s surroundings, including the arrival and departure halls, despite the challenging circumstances faced by the province.
The governor reiterated that the contributions of the Hadrami Elite Forces and the National Shield Forces reflect a high level of discipline and national responsibility. He stressed the importance of maintaining security and military readiness to protect the airport and sovereign facilities. These measures serve as a crucial foundation for supporting citizens and facilitating air transport in Hadramout.
