Sheikh Othman Majali Inspects Yemeni Consulate in Jeddah

Sheikh Othman Majali, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, visited the Yemeni Consulate in Jeddah today. His visit aimed to review the consular operations and the procedures for regularizing the status of Yemenis residing in Saudi Arabia through irregular means.

Overview of Consular Services

During the visit, Majali listened to a briefing from the Consul General, Ambassador Alawi Bafaqih. The discussion focused on the level of consular services provided to Yemeni expatriates, including civil status transactions and certifications. Additionally, they addressed the procedures in place to handle requests for status regularization and expedite their processing according to established regulations.

Examination of Passport Issuance

Acknowledgment of Saudi Support

The member of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed gratitude for the generous directives of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He also appreciated the brotherly response to the request made by Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, regarding the regularization of the status of Yemenis living in the Kingdom through irregular means.

This initiative contributes to alleviating the economic and living hardships caused by the war.

Call to Action for Beneficiaries

He pointed out that nearly 200,000 Yemeni citizens benefited from the royal decree within less than a week. Majali urged those eligible to promptly complete their status regularization procedures to take advantage of the offered facilities and avoid residency and work violations.
