Sheikh Othman Mujali, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, visited the Fifth Military Region in Hajjah Governorate today. During his visit, he commended the military heroes for their bravery in confronting the Houthi terrorist militia.

Overview of Military Operations

Mujali listened to an operational briefing from Major General Yahya Salah, the commander of the Fifth Military Region. The discussion covered military readiness, training levels, and the morale of brigade leaders, officers, and soldiers on the front lines.

Recognition of Combat Spirit

Mujali expressed admiration for the fighting spirit and determination he observed among the personnel in the Fifth Military Region. He highlighted their success in repelling the Houthi militia and liberating the districts of Midi and Haran, along with other areas in Hajjah.

Efforts in Mine Clearance

Mujali learned about the efforts of the Saudi project for mine clearance, known as “Masam,” and the engineering teams working to remove mines. These efforts aim to protect citizens, farmers, and shepherds from the deadly mines planted by the Houthi militia.

Mujali also praised the humanitarian assistance provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center. He acknowledged the developmental and service projects implemented by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen.

He noted that this fraternal support from Saudi Arabia comes under the guidance and patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Mujali emphasized the commitment of the Saudi leadership to Yemen and its people.

Visit to Frontline Troops

Mujali visited the troops stationed at the front lines to assess their needs. He conveyed greetings from the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, and other members of the Presidential Leadership Council to the leadership, officers, and soldiers of the Fifth Military Region, who have displayed remarkable heroism against the Houthi militia, referred to as “Iran’s proxies.”

High Morale and Military Development

Mujali expressed appreciation for the high morale and combat readiness of the armed forces in the Fifth Military Region. He noted their capability to develop and introduce equipment for ammunition production, weapon maintenance, and military vehicle repair, as well as enhance drone units and advanced surveillance systems.

Later, Mujali chaired a meeting with Major General Yahya Salah, brigade leaders, officers, and soldiers. During the meeting, he expressed his satisfaction with the focus and dedication shown in repelling the Houthi enemy. He reaffirmed that the national battle to restore state institutions continues.

He called on tribes to protect their members from Houthi exploitation, recruitment, and involvement in battles. Mujali warned against turning Yemeni youth into fuel for war, asserting that Yemen belongs to all its citizens and that the people should determine their own future.

In a related context, Mujali, accompanied by Major General Yahya Salah, inspected the naval forces and coast guard, as well as several islands off the coastal district of Midi. He monitored the coast guard’s efforts to evacuate citizens from Al-Zubair Island, following their entrapment due to recent developments on the western coast.

Mujali also reviewed the readiness of the naval forces and their assigned tasks in securing the islands and territorial waters, as well as enhancing military and security presence in the coastal sector.
