Sheikh Othman Majali Commends Military Bravery in Hajja
Sheikh Othman Majali, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, praised the military heroics of the armed forces during his field visit to the Fifth Military Region in Hajja Governorate today.
Insights from Military Leadership
During his visit, Majali listened to a briefing from Major General Yahya Salah, the commander of the Fifth Military Region. The briefing covered operational tasks, military readiness, training levels, and the morale of brigade leaders, officers, and soldiers on the front lines.
Recognition of Military Achievements
Majali expressed admiration for the fighting spirit and determination he observed among the personnel in the Fifth Military Region. These forces successfully repelled the Houthi militia and liberated the districts of Midi and Haran, along with other areas in Hajja Governorate.
Efforts in Mine Clearance
Majali also learned about the efforts of the Saudi project for mine clearance, known as “Masam,” and the engineering teams involved in removing mines. Their work has saved the lives of citizens, farmers, and shepherds from the deadly mines planted by the Houthi militia.
Humanitarian Support Acknowledged
He commended the humanitarian support provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, as well as the developmental and service projects implemented by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen.

Majali noted that this fraternal support from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia comes under the generous guidance of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and Minister of Defense Khalid bin Salman. He emphasized their commitment to Yemen and its people.
Visit to Frontline Troops
Majali visited the troops stationed at the front lines to assess their needs. He conveyed greetings from the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, and his fellow members of the Presidential Leadership Council to the leadership, officers, and soldiers of the Fifth Military Region. He acknowledged their remarkable bravery in confronting the Houthi militia, referred to as “Iran’s proxies.”

Majali expressed appreciation for the high morale and fighting spirit he witnessed among the armed forces in the Fifth Military Region. He highlighted their capability to innovate and incorporate equipment for ammunition production, weapon maintenance, and enhancing drone units and advanced surveillance systems.

Additionally, Majali chaired a meeting that included the commander of the Fifth Military Region, brigade leaders, officers, and soldiers. During the meeting, he expressed his satisfaction with the focus and dedication shown in repelling the Houthi enemy. He reaffirmed that the national battle to restore state institutions continues.
Call for Unity Against Houthi Forces
Majali stated that victory will align with the Yemeni people and their armed forces. He stressed the importance of maintaining high morale and readiness for the battle to liberate Yemen. He declared, “The armed forces will continue to confront the Houthi militia and fulfill the aspirations of the people to reclaim the homeland from the grip of the terrorist Houthi militia.”
Warning Against Houthi Exploitation
Majali urged the Yemeni people in areas under Houthi control to resist the Iranian Houthi project with all their strength. He called for raising morale and standing alongside the armed forces in preparation for the day of victory. He also urged tribes to protect their members from Houthi exploitation and recruitment, warning against turning Yemeni youth into fuel for war. He affirmed that Yemen accommodates all its citizens and that the people should decide their future and govern themselves.
Inspection of Maritime Forces
In a related context, Sheikh Othman Majali, accompanied by Major General Yahya Salah, inspected the naval formation and coast guard forces, as well as several islands off the coastal district of Midi. He monitored the coast guard’s efforts to evacuate citizens from Al-Zubair Island after they faced a blockade due to recent developments on the western coast.
Readiness of Naval Forces
Majali also reviewed the readiness of the naval forces and their assigned tasks in securing the islands and territorial waters, as well as enhancing military and security presence in the coastal sector.
