Today, at Aden International Airport, Major General Mahmoud Al-Sabihi, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, received the body of the late Faisal Al-Qatibi. Al-Qatibi, who served as a former minister and was a respected member of the Shura Council, passed away after a distinguished career devoted to national and social service.
General Al-Sabihi expressed profound sorrow over Al-Qatibi’s passing, emphasizing that Yemen has lost a devoted figure who made significant contributions to both the nation and the community. Al-Qatibi was known for his integrity, commitment, and active involvement in national and social matters. Al-Sabihi praised Al-Qatibi’s wisdom, moderation, and unyielding dedication to serving the people and fostering reconciliation throughout his life.
The late Faisal Al-Qatibi will be laid to rest today in his hometown of Radfan. The burial is expected to witness a large turnout of official leaders, social figures, tribal chiefs, and members of the Al-Qatibi tribe, all participating in a solemn funeral procession. General Al-Sabihi extended heartfelt condolences to Al-Qatibi’s family, including his children, siblings, and all relatives. He also offered sympathy to the tribe and all those who admired Al-Qatibi, praying for divine mercy for the deceased and comfort for his loved ones during this difficult time.
