Council member Lt. Gen. Sultan Al-Aradah and the Prime Minister hold a major meeting with military leadership and regional commanders.

Leadership Meeting Focuses on Military Readiness and National Unity

Sheikh Sultan Al-Aradah, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Marib, led a significant meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awdh bin Mubarak. The gathering included several ministers, Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Saghir bin Aziz, heads of military branches, directors of various departments, and key security leaders. This meeting aimed to address pressing military and security issues in Yemen.

Celebrating National Achievements

During the meeting, Al-Aradah congratulated military and security leaders on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution, as well as the October 14 and November 30 celebrations. He extended the political leadership’s greetings to all armed forces heroes, emphasizing that these occasions reflect the sacrifices and heroism of military personnel. Al-Aradah highlighted the importance of public awareness and popular resistance in strengthening the significance of these commemorative events.

Assessing Military Readiness

The meeting focused on the current state of the national army, reviewing combat readiness and operational conditions on various fronts. Participants discussed enhancing coordination and integration among government agencies to strengthen the state’s position during this pivotal time in Yemen’s history. The ongoing struggle against the Houthi militia requires a unified national effort.

Government’s Commitment to the Armed Forces

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awdh bin Mubarak reaffirmed the government’s top priority for the armed forces. He stated that the government is mobilizing resources to overcome obstacles and ensure the national army receives the necessary support. This commitment aims to honor the sacrifices made by brave fighters and to create a legacy that future generations will remember.

Military Achievements and Training Initiatives

Lt. Gen. Saghir bin Aziz provided an overview of the armed forces’ overall situation, highlighting the resilience of troops on the front lines. He also discussed the achievements of the Ministry of Defense in training and enhancing the capabilities of military personnel across various combat specialties. These efforts are crucial for adapting to the ongoing conflict with the Houthi terrorist organization.

The meeting also included key figures such as Interior Minister Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Haidan, Finance Minister Salem bin Berek, and other prominent officials, including the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, Engineer Anis Baharitha, and Central Bank deputies Mansour Rajeh and Hussein Al-Dahmashi. Additionally, the Director-General of the Yemeni Economic Corporation, Brigadier General Sami Al-Saeedi, was present.

This strategic meeting underscores the Yemeni government’s commitment to enhancing military readiness and fostering national unity during challenging times.
