Meeting Between Presidential Leadership Council Member and Petromasila Executive

On a significant day in Mukalla, Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, met with Engineer Mohammed Ahmed Bin Samit, the Executive Director of Petromasila, a leading oil exploration and production company.

Discussion on Company Status and Future Plans

During the meeting, Al-Bahsani and Bin Samit addressed the current status of Petromasila. They explored the company’s future plans aimed at increasing production capacity and enhancing investments in the oil sector. Additionally, they discussed strategies to improve operational processes and boost efficiency in oil field production.

Strengthening Local Partnerships

The conversation also highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships with local entities. This collaboration aims to ensure the continuity of development and service projects funded by Petromasila in Hadhramaut Governorate. By working together, they hope to create sustainable initiatives that benefit the local community.

Gas Plant and Diesel Supply Initiatives

Furthermore, the meeting covered Petromasila’s preparations to operate a gas station with a capacity of 75 megawatts in Wadi Hadhramaut. This facility will supply diesel at subsidized prices to support electricity generation along the Hadhramaut coast. The company also plans to provide diesel to oil companies in both the coastal and valley regions. Recently, Petromasila successfully refined mazut, which will enhance services and positively impact the governorate.

Commitment to Local Development

Al-Bahsani praised Petromasila’s role in local development. He emphasized the need for the company to double its efforts and elevate its performance as a leading national entity. This commitment aligns with the goal of achieving sustainable development that benefits the national economy.

The meeting also included Nasser Al-Qurzi, the Director of the Presidential Leadership Council member’s office, and Murad Al-Halimi, a member of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission.

This meeting underscores the ongoing efforts to enhance the oil sector in Yemen and the importance of collaboration between government and industry leaders to foster economic growth and development.
