Today, Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, visited the headquarters of Petromasila, a prominent oil exploration and production company. The visit aimed to review the company’s activities and its efforts to implement routine work plans and future development projects.
During his visit, Al-Bahsani held a meeting with the company’s leadership team. The meeting included the Executive General Manager of Petromasila, Mohammed bin Samit, and the Deputy Governor of Hadhramaut for Coastal and Plateau Affairs, Dr. Said Al-Amoudi. They discussed the progress of field operations in Sector 14 and the challenges the company faces in executing its plans under current exceptional circumstances.
Al-Bahsani toured the company’s facilities, where he learned about Petromasila’s recent successes in various fields. Notably, the company recently initiated the preliminary operation of its heavy fuel oil refining unit, producing high-quality experimental quantities estimated at 10,000 barrels per day, equivalent to 1.59 million liters, with a storage capacity of 50,000 barrels.
The Presidential Council member praised Petromasila’s role in supporting the national economy. He highlighted the company’s strategic importance in supplying fuel to the electricity institutions in both the coastal and valley regions of Hadhramaut, as well as to other vital facilities in the governorate. Additionally, he noted the company’s operation and maintenance of the 75-megawatt gas power station in the valley and its unwavering support for social projects in its areas of operation.
Al-Bahsani expressed pride in the national workforce managing Petromasila and emphasized his confidence in their capabilities. He urged the team to continue their developmental efforts to enhance the company’s position as a cornerstone of national economic support.
This visit underscores the ongoing commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council to foster growth and stability in Yemen’s oil sector, which plays a crucial role in the country’s economic landscape.
