Leadership Review of Land Authority Operations

Abdulrahman Al-Mahrami Evaluates Land Authority Conditions

Abdulrahman Al-Mahrami, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, recently assessed the current state of the General Authority for Lands. He focused on the authority’s performance improvement plans and the operations of its branches across various provinces. Al-Mahrami emphasized the importance of organizing the authority’s work to enhance its role in documenting and protecting state lands and properties from encroachments.

Administrative and Legal Reforms Discussed

During a meeting in the temporary capital of Aden, Al-Mahrami listened to a detailed presentation from Salem Al-Awlaki, the Acting Head of the General Authority for Lands, Survey, and Urban Planning. The presentation covered ongoing administrative, legal, technical, and financial reforms. Al-Awlaki highlighted efforts to address issues related to encroachments on state lands and government plans, in coordination with relevant judicial authorities.

Support for Investors and Land Management

Al-Mahrami praised the authority’s decision to grant struggling investors a final deadline before reclaiming their allocated lands. He viewed this measure as essential for ensuring serious investment and preventing land stagnation. He stressed the need for strict implementation of this decision to serve the public interest.

Urgency in Implementing Reforms

Al-Mahrami urged the swift completion of technical and legal reforms within the authority. He called for the protection of state lands and properties, the application of investment regulations without exceptions, and adherence to recommendations from oversight bodies. He asserted that establishing transparency and combating corruption begins with institutional discipline and compliance with procedures.

Acknowledgment of Leadership Support

In response, Al-Awlaki expressed gratitude for Al-Mahrami’s ongoing support for the authority’s development plans. He appreciated the direct supervision and follow-up that Al-Mahrami provides to ensure effective operations and enhance the impact of reforms.

The commitment to improving the General Authority for Lands reflects a broader goal of fostering responsible land management and investment in the region.
