Top Judiciary Discusses Military Justice with Defense Minister

In a significant meeting held today in the provisional capital, Aden, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Mohsen Talib, discussed with the Minister of Defense, Major General Mohsen Al-Daeri, ways to enhance cooperation between judicial and military institutions to achieve justice and ensure its effective application.

The meeting, which was attended by the Secretary-General of the Judicial Council, Judge Dr. Ali Atboush, and the Chairman of the National Committee for the Investigation of Human Rights Violations Claims, Judge Ahmed Al-Muflahi, delved into the status of military judiciary in the liberated provinces and the Committee’s observations on delays in addressing certain cases in military areas.

Judge Talib praised the efforts of the National Committee for Investigation, led by Judge Al-Muflahi, and its achievements in fulfilling its tasks to monitor violations in various liberated areas. He affirmed the Supreme Judicial Council’s support for both the military judiciary and the National Committee for the Investigation of Human Rights Violations Claims, backing their work to ensure justice and the application of law in reviewing all cases presented to them.

This dialogue underscores the commitment of Yemen’s judicial and military leaders to strengthening their collaboration towards upholding justice and addressing human rights concerns, highlighting their concerted efforts to navigate the challenges within the nation’s liberated regions.
