On Sunday, the Yemeni Army successfully countered hostile operations launched by Iranian-backed Houthi militias across several fronts in the provinces of Marib, Al-Jawf, and Taiz.
A military source reported to the Armed Forces Media Center that the army targeted enemy fire sources in various locations within Marib. The forces managed to destroy artillery positions, effectively silencing them and inflicting casualties on several militia members.
Additionally, the army’s artillery targeted heavy equipment used by the Houthis to construct fortifications, roads, and trenches in the western fronts of Marib. This operation resulted in the disabling of some equipment while neutralizing others.
In the northwestern fronts of Marib, the army responded decisively to Houthi attacks that involved artillery, mortar fire, and drone strikes. The forces maintained a strong defensive posture, ensuring the protection of strategic locations.
In the eastern combat zones of Al-Jawf, the army effectively countered Houthi fire sources in the Al-Alam, Al-Jadafer, and Shahla sectors. The military’s response successfully silenced enemy fire, demonstrating their capability to protect their positions.
In Taiz, the army engaged with equipment utilized by the Houthi militias to establish fortifications in the Al-Kadah and Al-Dabab fronts. The forces succeeded in neutralizing this equipment. Furthermore, they responded to enemy fire sources located near the old airport in the western front of the province.
The Yemeni Army’s proactive measures against Houthi militias highlight their commitment to maintaining security and stability in the region. As the conflict continues, the army remains vigilant and prepared to counter any further threats.
