Al-Shahrani: Transforming camp sites in Aden into civilian facilities under local authority management.

Transformation of Military Camps in Aden

Objective of the Plan

Lieutenant General Falah Al-Shahrani, an advisor to the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Coalition Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen, announced a strategic plan to convert military camps in Aden into civilian facilities. This initiative aims to enhance the city’s civil and urban character under local authority management.

Implementation Timeline and Phases

During a meeting with journalists in Aden, General Al-Shahrani detailed that the execution of this plan will follow a specific timeline divided into three phases. The operation will occur in full coordination with local authorities and military leadership to ensure a smooth and organized transition.

Local Security Measures

Al-Shahrani emphasized that local security forces will take charge of securing the city. These forces will receive modern equipment and resources to bolster their capabilities. He also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s commitment to developing liberated provinces and addressing the southern issue fairly, in line with the outcomes of the Southern Dialogue held in Riyadh.

Focus on Security and Services

The advisor reviewed the outcomes of meetings between leadership and local authorities, as well as security and military leaders. These discussions concentrated on preparing the city, enhancing security, and improving public services. He noted that service improvements will coincide with community initiatives coordinated with local organizations to benefit citizens.

Call for Media Support

In closing, General Al-Shahrani urged journalists and media professionals to support efforts aimed at normalizing conditions and improving services in Aden. He stressed the vital role of media in calming tensions and promoting security and stability in the region.
