Four Suspects Arrested in Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Shaer’s Assassination
The Aden Security Directorate has announced the apprehension of four primary suspects connected to the assassination of Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Shaer, the director of Al-Nour Private Schools. This operation signifies a crucial step in the ongoing investigation, supported by the direct oversight of the Ministry of Interior.
Details of the Arrest and Security Operations
In an official statement, the security administration disclosed that investigations commenced immediately following the incident, under the continuous supervision of the Ministry of Interior. These efforts culminated in a series of successful operations leading to the capture of the four suspects. Authorities have also identified and secured the vehicle utilized in the crime, as well as one of the weapons involved.
The first suspect was apprehended in the Sheikh Othman District, while the second was captured in Abyan Governorate through coordinated efforts between Aden security forces and Abyan police. The third suspect was taken into custody in Moudia District after extensive surveillance, and the fourth suspect was arrested with assistance from the Third Support and Reinforcement Brigade, demonstrating the effective collaboration among various security units.
Investigations Uncover Organized Criminal Cell
Preliminary investigations have indicated that the assassination was executed by an organized criminal cell, which had been planning to target multiple preachers and mosque imams after conducting prior surveillance. Additionally, investigators uncovered another cell linked to the case and have arrested several of its members. The Aden Security Directorate confirmed that Minister of Interior, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, is closely monitoring the case’s progress.
