Police in Aden Arrest Pharmacist for Promoting Banned Drugs

On Friday, the police in Aden announced the arrest of a pharmacist involved in selling and promoting banned pregabalin pills at a pharmacy in the Mansoura district. Additionally, authorities dismantled a gang responsible for luring and robbing citizens on the 90th Street in the Sheikh Othman district. These arrests occurred during two separate security operations.

Arrest of Pharmacist Involved in Drug Trafficking

Colonel Mayas Al-Jadani, head of the Anti-Drug Unit in Aden, reported that officers apprehended the pharmacist while he was promoting 300 mg pregabalin pills. This operation followed thorough surveillance and multiple citizen complaints. The police coordinated with the Public Prosecution to obtain a search warrant before executing the operation, during which they discovered several strips of the legally prohibited pills in the pharmacist’s possession.

Al-Jadani described the incident as a serious indication of how some healthcare professionals exploit their positions to promote illegal drugs. He emphasized that the authorities would take strict legal action against violators and warned pharmacy owners against selling or promoting these classified narcotics.

Police Capture Gang Involved in Luring and Robbery

In a separate operation, the Cairo Police successfully apprehended three suspects linked to the luring and robbery of a citizen on the 90th Street. This success came after investigative efforts identified the suspects, who were named as (A.S.M.M), (E.S.M.M), and (M.A.M.M).

Colonel Nazem Al-Jubairi, head of the Cairo Police, confirmed that the suspects admitted to committing the crime during interrogations. Legal procedures are underway to refer them to the appropriate authorities. Al-Jubairi noted that the police acted swiftly after receiving a report from a citizen about the luring and robbery incident.

Ongoing Efforts to Enhance Security in Aden

These security operations reflect the ongoing efforts of the Aden Police to enhance safety and stability in the temporary capital. They highlight the importance of collaboration between citizens and law enforcement in combating crime. Furthermore, these actions demonstrate the state’s commitment to enforcing the law and providing a secure environment for its citizens.
