A new training course focused on inventory management and lean pharmaceutical practices commenced today in Aden, Yemen’s temporary capital. This initiative, organized by the National Drug Supply Program, collaborates with the World Health Organization (WHO) and receives support from the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA).

Significance of the Training

Dr. Ali Al-Walidi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Primary Health Care, emphasized the importance of this training. He stated that effective outcomes from the course will significantly enhance the integrated healthcare system in Yemen. Al-Walidi highlighted that pharmaceutical work stands as one of the most crucial pillars of the health sector.

Practical Application and Knowledge Transfer

Dr. Suad Al-Maysari, the Director of the National Drug Supply Program, addressed the participants, urging them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the course in their professional practice. She stressed the importance of sharing these insights with their colleagues in the pharmaceutical field across all governorates.

This training course aims not only to improve inventory management but also to foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration among healthcare professionals in Yemen. As the program unfolds, it seeks to strengthen the overall healthcare delivery system, ensuring better access to essential medicines for all citizens.
