Key Visit Amid National Celebrations
On Wednesday, September 26, 2023, Major General Sultan al-Aradah, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Marib, welcomed Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, the Prime Minister of Yemen, and several government officials. They visited Marib to participate in the celebrations marking the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution.
A Warm Welcome and Reflection on the Revolution
Major General al-Aradah expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister and the ministers for their visit during this significant occasion. He emphasized that the celebrations coincide with the ongoing struggle of the Yemeni people for freedom, independence, and dignity against the Houthi militia’s attempts to undermine their rights. He described the September, October, and November revolutions as victories for the Yemeni people, representing their fight against oppressive regimes and colonialism. Al-Aradah highlighted the sacrifices made by the revolutionaries and the unwavering commitment to achieving national goals.
Focus on Local Challenges and Government Support
The member of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the Prime Minister’s dedication to understanding the local situation in Marib. He noted the importance of collaboration between the government, local authorities, and executive offices to address the challenges posed by the increasing number of displaced persons and the damage caused by recent floods. Al-Aradah stressed the need for appropriate measures to enhance services across all sectors, particularly in infrastructure.
