Preparations Underway for Medical Mission in Hadramout

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadramout, Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, met today in Mukalla with a delegation from the American organization MedGlobal and representatives from the Nahd Development Foundation. They discussed the necessary preparations and arrangements for the implementation of the “Resilience Medical Mission: Maternal and Newborn Health Care in Hadramout” project, which will take place at the Mukalla Mother and Child Hospital.

Project Overview and Medical Interventions

During the meeting, Al-Khanbashi listened to Dr. Ahmed Bin Nuisar, Director of the Public Health and Population Office in Coastal Hadramout. Dr. Bin Nuisar provided an overview of the project and the planned medical interventions. These interventions will include performing specialized surgical operations in the fields of obstetrics, anesthesia, and pediatric care. Additionally, the project aims to enhance the capabilities of local medical staff and transfer specialized knowledge and expertise.

Appreciation for International Collaboration

Governor Al-Khanbashi praised MedGlobal’s initiative and the arrival of its medical mission from the United States to implement these specialized interventions. He acknowledged the efforts of the Public Health and Population Office in Coastal Hadramout to strengthen cooperation with international organizations and recognized the contributions of the Nahd Development Foundation in supporting the health sector.

Local Governance and Service Improvement Plans

In a separate meeting, Governor Al-Khanbashi met with Hussein Ghadaf, Director of Al-Shahr District. They discussed the upcoming phase’s plan and priorities to enhance local authority performance and improve the services provided to citizens.

Al-Khanbashi listened to an explanation of the work plan aimed at developing administrative and service performance. This plan includes enhancing coordination among executive offices and identifying service and development needs and priorities. These efforts will address existing challenges and respond to citizens’ requirements.

Commitment to Local Authority Enhancement

The Governor emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to elevate the performance of local authority in Al-Shahr District. He called for enhancing the effectiveness of executive offices and fostering teamwork while instilling principles of accountability and transparency. These measures aim to positively impact service levels and meet citizens’ expectations.
