On Wednesday, a specialized team from the Ministries of Awqaf and Guidance and Finance convened in Aden, Yemen’s temporary capital. The meeting, led by Dr. Mukhtar Al-Rabash, the Undersecretary for Hajj and Umrah Affairs, focused on developing the governance framework for the Hajj and Umrah sector.
Objective of the Governance Guide
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Rabash emphasized the significance of creating this governance guide. He stated that the initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to improve services for pilgrims and Umrah performers. The guide aims to streamline procedures and reduce obstacles in collaboration with relevant government agencies. This effort supports the rapid development of services in accordance with Vision 2030 and the evolving needs of Hajj and Umrah services in Saudi Arabia.
Anticipated Benefits of the Framework
Dr. Al-Rabash highlighted that the new project would enhance administrative, financial, and service performance within the Hajj and Umrah sector. By adopting best practices from Arab and Islamic nations, the governance guide will introduce a set of standards and indicators. These measures will boost operational efficiency and improve the quality of services provided to pilgrims and Umrah performers.
This initiative represents a significant step toward upgrading the overall experience for those undertaking these sacred journeys, ensuring that they receive the highest level of service possible.
