A child was killed and a woman sustained injuries from gunfire by the Houthi militia in Taiz Governorate, marking another incident targeting civilians in the region.
The Taiz Human Rights Center reported that nine-year-old Mohammed Taher Said Abdu died due to artillery shelling carried out by the Houthi militia, which struck the Ras Al-Nuqail area in the Al-Aqroud district of southern Taiz.
Additionally, Radhia Abdulraqeeb Sultan Hazam, a 40-year-old woman, suffered a gunshot wound to her left hand after being targeted by Houthi snipers in the Al-Dabab area of the Sabir Al-Mawadim district, located in the western part of the governorate.
The human rights center condemned this act, holding the Houthi militia fully responsible for the assault on civilians. It urged the international community and human rights organizations to take a firm stance to halt these violations and protect the civilian population in Taiz.
