On Tuesday, the Ministry of Youth and Sports officially granted temporary recognition to Al-Habilin Club, located in the Radfan district of Lahij Governorate. This recognition will undergo evaluation over the next three years to assess the club’s development and contributions to the local sports community.
Minister Encourages Active Participation
During the recognition ceremony, Minister of Youth and Sports, Nayef Al-Bakri, urged the club’s management to enhance their efforts in the upcoming period. He emphasized the importance of participating in all competitions held at the governorate level across various sports. Al-Bakri also highlighted the need to engage youth, encouraging them to pursue sports while prioritizing education as a vital pathway to a successful future and a fundamental pillar for peace.
Club Management Commits to Growth
In response, the club’s administration expressed its commitment to expanding its sports offerings. They aim to attain full recognition by demonstrating a strong foundation of youth and athletes capable of making history and advancing the club’s legacy in the future.
Minister Reviews Sports Initiatives in Taiz
In a separate meeting, Minister Al-Bakri met with Fouad Fadel, the Director General of the Youth and Sports Office in Taiz. They discussed the current state of administrative, athletic, and youth activities in the city, as well as the challenges the office faces in fulfilling its responsibilities effectively.
Call for Collaborative Efforts
Minister Al-Bakri praised the office’s efforts in promoting successful sports and youth programs in the governorate. He stressed the necessity for collective action and increased efforts to elevate youth and sports initiatives in Taiz. Furthermore, he called for the completion of the training and rehabilitation center in the governorate and urged ongoing communication with the leadership of Taiz University regarding its College of Physical Education. The minister also emphasized the importance of increasing funding for clubs and monitoring the governorate’s revenues.
This proactive approach aims to foster a vibrant sports culture and empower the youth in Lahij and Taiz, ensuring a brighter future for the region.
