Armed Forces Repel Houthi Attacks in Taiz
The Armed Forces announced their successful defense against attacks launched by Houthi militia in several fronts surrounding the city of Taiz and its southeastern countryside. They confirmed significant losses inflicted on the militia in terms of personnel and equipment.
Attacks in Al-Sayah and Hadharan with Air Support
The Media Center of the Taiz Axis stated in a late-night report that the Armed Forces, supported by warplanes, thwarted a Houthi assault in the Al-Sayah front and Wadi Hadharan west of Taiz. The report confirmed casualties among the militia, including both dead and wounded.
Simultaneous Defense Against Eastern and Northern Fronts
Earlier, military media reported that the Armed Forces, backed by popular resistance, repelled Houthi attacks on the eastern front of the city and the Al-Kalabah front northeast of Taiz. This occurred concurrently with a similar defense against an assault on the Al-Aqroud front in the southern part of the governorate.
Intense Battles Result in 25 Houthi Casualties
On Saturday evening, the Taiz Axis announced that fierce battles erupted in the Al-Aqroud and Al-Shaqab fronts southeast of Taiz. They noted the death of 25 Houthi fighters and injuries to others as the Armed Forces successfully countered a violent attack launched by the militia on the Al-Shaqab front.
Ambushes and Drone Support
The Axis highlighted in a field operations summary that dozens of Houthi casualties occurred due to ambushes executed by the Armed Forces and resistance fighters in the Al-Masrak and Al-Bayrin fronts to the south, as well as in Jabal Habashi to the west.
Additionally, they confirmed that drones belonging to the Taiz Axis provided effective support to the forces during Saturday’s battles, achieving direct hits on militia positions and targeting their weapons and reinforcements across various fronts. Meanwhile, air defenses successfully shot down a Houthi suicide drone east of Taiz.
