Communication Disruption During Storm
E. Buto Sudayana, the head of the search and rescue office in Banjarmasin, reported that communication with the ship ceased at 2 AM local time. This disruption occurred as the ship encountered stormy weather during its journey from Surabaya to Banjarmasin.
Initial Response Team Deployed
An initial response team consisting of six members has set off aboard the rescue ship KN Sar Laksmana 241. They are heading toward the last known location of the Virgo Transport 8, a journey expected to take approximately five hours. Meanwhile, efforts continue to locate the ship and ensure the safety of the passengers.
