Weather Forecast: Extreme Heat and Isolated Rain Expected
The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center predicts hot and humid weather across coastal areas and nearby regions today, Monday. The forecast indicates partly cloudy skies, with temperatures soaring during the day and becoming moderate at night. Isolated rain showers, occasionally accompanied by thunder, may occur along parts of the eastern and southern coasts, the Socotra Archipelago, and adjacent areas. Winds will range from moderate to active along the southern and eastern coasts, while strong winds are expected over the Socotra Archipelago.
Mountainous Regions: Cloudy Conditions and Rain
According to the daily weather bulletin, which the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received, the mountainous areas will experience partly to mostly cloudy skies. There is a possibility of scattered rain showers, with occasional thunder, particularly in the northwestern highlands stretching from Saada Governorate in the north to the highlands and plateaus of Lahij Governorate in the south. This weather pattern will extend eastward, affecting parts of Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, and Al-Mahra Governorates. Meanwhile, desert and plateau regions will see clear to partly cloudy skies, with extreme heat during the day and moderate temperatures at night. Scattered rain showers, occasionally accompanied by thunder, may also affect parts of the deserts in Shabwa, Hadramout, and Al-Mahra, with winds stirring dust and sand.

Safety Warnings for Citizens

Marine Conditions: Caution Advised
The Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center also released its daily marine bulletin today. It predicts calm seas along the western coasts, while the coasts of Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, and Bab al-Mandab will experience light to moderate waves. The coasts of Al-Mahra and Hadramout may see moderate to rough seas, and the waters around the Socotra Archipelago are expected to be rough. In the Red Sea, wave conditions will remain calm, while the Gulf of Aden will experience moderate waves, and the Arabian Sea may see moderate to rough conditions.
The center warns fishermen, ship captains, and sea-goers around the Socotra Archipelago, the Arabian Sea, and the eastern and southern coasts, as well as the Gulf of Aden, to exercise caution due to strong winds and rough seas.
