MUKALLA, Hadhramaut – During a recent visit to Mukalla, Governor Salm Ahmed Al-Khanbashi assessed the performance of the General Engineering and Technical Administration in Hadhramaut. He praised the efforts aimed at enhancing radio broadcasting services and recognized the significant role of the Yemeni Engineers Syndicate in supporting engineering professionals and promoting their contributions to development and reconstruction.

Enhancing Broadcasting Stations and Technical Support

In a meeting with Engineer Said Mohammed Al-Haik, the Director General of the Engineering and Technical Administration, Al-Khanbashi reviewed the current state of the administration and its development plans. Key initiatives outlined during the meeting include:

  • Maintenance and rehabilitation of radio broadcasting stations in Mukalla, Faw, and Al-Jabal.
  • Improvement of radio coverage in both eastern and western regions.
  • Ensuring the stability and continuity of radio broadcasts.

Engineer Al-Haik presented a draft of the book titled “General Engineering and Technical Administration: Boundless Contributions,” documenting the administration’s journey and the dedicated efforts of its staff. In response, the governor directed the approval of:

  • A four-wheel drive vehicle to facilitate access to broadcasting stations in remote mountainous areas.

In a subsequent meeting with Engineer Omar Mabrouk, the President of the Yemeni Engineers Syndicate in Hadhramaut, Al-Khanbashi was briefed on the syndicate’s professional and scientific programs. The syndicate plays a vital role in:

  • Advocating for the rights of engineering professionals.
  • Supporting developmental and engineering projects throughout the province.
