New Military Appointments Announced by Presidential Council

Today, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, who also serves as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, issued Decision No. (40) for the year 2026. This decision outlines key appointments within the First Military Region.

Key Appointments in the First Military Region

The first article of the decision specifies the following officer appointments to leadership positions:

  • Brigadier General Fahd Salem Issa Salem Bamoumen has been appointed as the Commander of the First Military Region and will be promoted to the rank of Major General.
  • Brigadier General Amer Abdullah Abdullah Mohammed Bin Hatyian will serve as the Chief of Staff for the First Military Region.
  • Brigadier General Mohammed Omar Awad Saleh Ali Bin Ghanem has been designated as the Director of Operations for the First Military Region.

Implementation of the Decision

The second article of the decision states that it will take effect immediately upon publication in the official gazette and military bulletins.
