Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, has strongly condemned the brutal murder of Sheikh Saleh Hantous, a respected Quran teacher in Al-Raimah Governorate, and his grandson Hamza. This heinous act occurred after a prolonged siege and armed assault on their home in the Al-Salfiyah district.
Details of the Attack
In a press statement, Al-Eryani revealed that Houthi militias launched a savage attack on Sheikh Hantous, aged 75, employing over 20 armed vehicles. They bombarded the residence with various weapons, including RPGs. This assault resulted in severe injuries to both Sheikh Hantous and his wife, while also destroying the upper part of their home and igniting nearby houses. Ultimately, the militants executed Sheikh Hantous and his grandson in cold blood, showcasing their brutality and disregard for Yemeni lives.

Al-Eryani emphasized that this crime, committed in full view of the world, highlights the Houthi militia’s relentless campaign of murder and terror against Yemenis. The minister pointed out that the Houthi militia, which falsely claims to support Gaza, engages in terrorism against an unarmed population.
