The Republic of Yemen actively participated in the Nutrition for Growth Summit, hosted by the French government. The Yemeni delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Mustafa Noman, engaged in discussions aimed at addressing global nutrition challenges.

Running from March 27 to March 28, the summit concentrated on six primary themes:

  2. Nutrition and the Transition to Sustainable Food and Climate Systems
  3. Nutrition Resilience During Crises
  4. Nutrition and Equality
  5. Data, Research, Artificial Intelligence, and Innovation for Nutrition
  6. Financing and Accountability in Nutrition

These topics highlight the urgent need for collaborative efforts to improve nutritional outcomes worldwide.

Yemen’s Efforts to Combat Malnutrition

During the summit, the Yemeni delegation held several meetings with partners to secure technical and financial support. Their goal is to enhance the government’s initiatives aimed at combating malnutrition in all its forms. The delegation also sought to raise awareness about the nutritional situation in Yemen and the available opportunities to tackle this pressing challenge, particularly for children.
