The Republic of Yemen participated today in a high-level Arab regional meeting aimed at preparing for the Second Global Conference on Social Development. The event took place in Tunis and featured a delegation led by Yemen’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Abdul Nasser Ba Habib, who also serves as the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps.

The Arab Region: Towards the Second Global Conference on Social Development: This discussion will explore the current realities and aspirations for social development in the Arab world.
Multidimensional Poverty in the Arab Region: Participants will examine the various facets of poverty affecting the region and potential solutions.
Social and Economic Inclusion: The meeting will focus on integrating vulnerable groups into social protection systems, emphasizing the importance of full and productive employment.
The meeting aims to produce a shared vision that outlines the Arab priorities for the Second Global Conference on Social Development. This significant conference is scheduled to take place in Qatar from November 4 to 6, 2025.
