The Republic of Yemen actively participated today in an international regional conference focused on combating money laundering, terrorism financing, and the proliferation of weapons. The event took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and was led by Hani Wahab, Yemen’s Deputy Minister of Finance and the head of the Middle East and North Africa Financial Action Task Force (MENAFATF). This conference coincided with the 39th plenary meeting of MENAFATF, which Yemen currently chairs.

The gathering also featured a distinguished group of officials, experts, and specialists in anti-money laundering and terrorism financing from the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, North Africa, and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
