This call to action was made during a statement by Yemen’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Sha’if Al-Zandani, at a high-level international conference focused on implementing United Nations resolutions regarding a peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue. The conference aimed to address the pressing need for peace and stability in the region.
Dr. Al-Zandani expressed deep appreciation for the efforts of Saudi Arabia and France in preparing for this significant conference. He acknowledged their commitment to supporting a just and comprehensive peace in the region, which aligns with the shared goal of enhancing regional and international security.
The minister described the conference as a crucial step toward reviving the political process and effectively implementing the two-state solution. Yemen supports the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
