Fierce confrontations continue between the armed forces and popular resistance on one side, and the Houthi terrorist militia on the other, in the fronts of Taiz and Lahij governorates. This escalation coincides with airstrikes targeting militia positions and military vehicles as part of the “Dawn of Yemen” operations.
The Khaboub front in Lahij witnessed violent clashes following an attempted infiltration by Houthi elements toward government positions. Government forces confirmed their ongoing control over these sites and dismissed the militia’s claims of making territorial gains in the area.
In the western front of Taiz city, fighting reignited in the old airport, Han Mountain, and Al-Saleh Gardens. Simultaneously, airstrikes targeted Houthi positions and vehicles in the Shuqab front at Mount Saber.
The army and popular resistance forces executed a well-planned ambush against Houthi militia members in the Al-Maqdah area on the Al-Aqroud front in the Al-Masrak district, south of Taiz. This operation resulted in the death and injury of twelve militia members.
In related developments, airstrikes targeted militia sites in the Al-Mokha area. Military sources reported that a shipment of weapons belonging to the militia was struck off the coast of Al-Khawkhah city in southern Al-Hudaydah governorate.
These developments unfold within the framework of the “Dawn of Yemen” operation, aimed at restoring state institutions and asserting authority over all Yemeni territories.
