Two individuals died, and another sustained injuries when the Houthi militia targeted an ambulance in the Sabir Al-Shuqaf area with a mortar shell today. The ambulance was on a mission to transport an injured girl to the hospital.
A local source reported that the militia struck the vehicle while it was attempting to assist 18-year-old Tayba Abdulraqeeb Abdu Abdullah, who had been shot by the militia in the Sabir Al-Shuqaf area. The attack resulted in the deaths of the girl and the ambulance driver, while a doctor accompanying them suffered injuries. The vehicle was also destroyed in the incident.
The source added that this crime adds to the list of atrocities committed by the militia against healthcare facilities and medical personnel. It poses a significant threat to the continuation of rescue operations and medical evacuations for the wounded and injured amid the ongoing Houthi bombardment of the city.
