Third Military Region Launches 2025 Training and Operational Year in Marib

The Third Military Region in Marib has officially launched its 2025 training, combat, and operational year. The event, held on Tuesday, was attended by Lieutenant General Sagheer bin Aziz, Chief of the General Staff and Commander of Joint Operations.

Commitment to Excellence

During the launch, themed “Efficiency and Training: Gateway to Victory,” Lieutenant General bin Aziz addressed the region’s personnel. He conveyed greetings and congratulations from the political and military leadership for the new year. He praised the steadfastness and resilience of the armed forces in the Third Military Region, highlighting their dedication to the national duty of restoring the state. Their sacrifices in the battle against the Iranian-backed Houthi militias were commended.

Focus on Training and Readiness

Lieutenant General bin Aziz emphasized that the initiation of the 2025 training phase coincides with ongoing battles for dignity and freedom against the terrorist militias. He urged increased efforts and training to elevate the armed forces’ readiness to the highest levels. The Third Military Region’s efforts in training and qualification were acknowledged, with assurances of continued support from the political and military leadership to enhance these areas.

Leadership and Achievements

Major General Ahmed Al-Absi, Deputy Chief of Training and Qualification, also spoke at the event. He lauded the leadership of the Third Military Region for their training initiatives and expressed hopes for continued excellence. Major General Al-Absi noted that the new training year follows a successful period filled with achievements across various training and combat specializations. He expressed optimism for a year rich in specialized training and qualification for the region’s personnel.

Strategic Plans and Military Readiness

Brigadier General Abdulraqib Dabwan, Chief of Staff of the Third Military Region, reviewed the past year’s achievements and outlined the plans and programs for 2025. He highlighted the leadership’s commitment, under Major General Mansour bin Abdullah Thawabah, to prioritize training and qualification as the foundation for building capable forces ready to achieve victory for Yemen and its people.

Impressive Military Display

The launch event featured an impressive military parade by symbolic units of the Third Military Region, showcasing their high readiness and training skills. The ceremony concluded with an inspection of the symbolic units and military equipment by the Chief of the General Staff, accompanied by Major General Abdulaziz Al-Faqih, Chief of Logistics Support, Major General Ahmed Al-Absi, and Brigadier General Abdulraqib Dabwan. They congratulated everyone on the successful launch of the 2025 training year.
