Yemeni Citizenship Committee Approves 19 Applications

The Yemeni Citizenship Committee convened today in the temporary capital of Aden, led by Major General Abdulmajid Barak Al-Amri, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Civil Services. During this meeting, the committee approved 19 applications for Yemeni citizenship, submitted in accordance with Law No. (6) of 1990 regarding Yemeni nationality.

Meeting Highlights and Recommendations

The meeting included the participation of Major General Dr. Mohammed Baharoun, the Undersecretary of the Civil Status and Civil Registry Authority, along with other committee members. They discussed several agenda items and made recommendations concerning the citizenship applications. These recommendations will be forwarded to the Minister of Interior, who will then present them to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council for final decisions.

Commitment to Regular Meetings

Major General Al-Amri emphasized the ministry’s commitment to processing citizenship applications in accordance with the law. He stressed the importance of the committee holding regular meetings to address the citizenship requests efficiently. This approach aims to assist citizens in obtaining their identification documents. Furthermore, Al-Amri highlighted the necessity for the committee to thoroughly review all submitted documents and prepare the applications before each session to streamline the citizenship approval process.
