The U.S. economy recorded an annual growth rate of 2.2% during the second quarter of this year, exceeding market expectations of 2.1%. This information comes from the third estimate released by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.
The Bureau noted that the real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth rate was revised upward by 0.7 percentage points compared to the previous estimate. This adjustment resulted from revised data on investment, consumer spending, and government expenditure. Additionally, consumption, investment, and exports contributed to the growth during the same quarter.
