The Minister of Information stated that the spirit of the September Revolution endures despite the Houthi grip, with the imamate’s project doomed to fail.

The Enduring Spirit of Yemen’s September Revolution

A Transformative Moment in Yemen’s History

Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, emphasized that the September 26 Revolution marks a pivotal moment in the consciousness of Yemenis. He described it as the birth of a modern state, asserting that the spirit of the revolution remains vibrant even after more than six decades. This spirit manifests in every flag raised and every chant that rejects the return of tyranny and feudalism.

Public Resilience Against Oppression

In a recent press statement, Al-Eryani highlighted the unwavering public determination to celebrate the September Revolution. Despite the oppressive grip of the Houthi militia, this commitment underscores that the project of imamate cannot return, regardless of how it is adorned with slogans or backed by Iranian weaponry.

The Fight Against Historical Distortion

Al-Eryani pointed out that attempts to erase historical truths and promote sectarian propaganda have failed to uproot the values of the revolution from the hearts of Yemenis. He noted that the public’s awareness has evolved around the concepts of statehood and citizenship, rather than lineage and clerical authority. Each time the militia attempts to erase national symbols, the people grow more attached to them and increasingly reject the Iranian-backed agenda.

International Attention on Houthi Crimes

The minister also remarked that the crimes committed by the Houthis against the Yemeni people are now visible to the international community. He called attention to how the militia transforms every national occasion into a scene of repression and detention. Al-Eryani urged a reassessment of the international stance toward a militia that derives its legitimacy from Iran, rather than from the will of the Yemeni people.

A Call for Unity and Restoration

Concluding his remarks, Al-Eryani stated that the Houthi militia is experiencing unprecedented erosion and exposure, particularly as public dissent rises in the areas under their control. He affirmed that Yemenis have come to realize that their salvation lies in restoring their state, liberating their institutions, and unifying their voices against the dark agenda threatening their present and future.
