The General Administration for Moral Guidance and Public Relations at the Ministry of Interior launched a comprehensive national campaign for public mobilization and national call for the personnel of the Ministry of Interior today in the temporary capital, Aden.
During the launch, Major General Qaid Atef, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Human Resources and Finance, explained that the campaign’s initiation aligns with directives from the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. This event coincides with the Yemeni people’s celebrations of the 64th anniversary of the September 26 Revolution, as well as the upcoming 63rd anniversary of the October 14 Revolution and the 58th anniversary of National Independence Day on November 30.
Major General Atef emphasized that the current circumstances and security challenges facing the nation necessitate heightened vigilance, readiness, and discipline. He called for enhanced coordination and integration among various sectors and units of the Ministry of Interior. The ministry must prepare to address emerging developments and risks that threaten community security and the stability of the state and its institutions.
He noted that the ministry has worked to bolster security and stability by implementing preventive and security plans to secure provinces and protect vital facilities. The ministry aims to enhance readiness and responsiveness under the available capabilities.
Major General Atef stated that the comprehensive national campaign represents a pathway to enhance national and security awareness, improve readiness, and ensure functional discipline among ministry personnel. He stressed the importance of communication and partnership between the security institution and the community in safeguarding security and stability. He emphasized that the national responsibility rests on all personnel of the Ministry of Interior, including officers, non-commissioned officers, individuals, and employees, through adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
The Undersecretary urged all sectors and units of the ministry to elevate their readiness, enhance coordination, and work as a unified team. He called for adherence to approved instructions and plans to ensure rapid response, efficient performance, and the protection of citizens and state institutions. He highlighted the importance of internal cohesion and unified efforts to confront risks and challenges.
Brigadier General Haitham Al-Jaradi, Director General of the General Administration for Moral Guidance and Public Relations at the Ministry of Interior, clarified that the campaign represents a national and field program targeting ministry personnel. He affirmed that the security institution’s responsibilities extend beyond field tasks to include protecting the internal front, enhancing stability, preventing security breaches, responsibly addressing rumors and misleading information, and safeguarding the community and state institutions from any attempts to undermine security and stability.
He pointed out that the campaign aims to implement comprehensive programs in awareness, guidance, and mobilization. It seeks to harness national and community resources, enhance cooperation and integration between citizens and security agencies, and elevate readiness so that ministry personnel can fulfill their duties in accordance with laws, regulations, and instructions.
The Director General of the General Administration for Moral Guidance emphasized the significance of security awareness and community responsibility in protecting the internal front. He urged the preservation of sensitive security information and data, advising against sharing or disseminating it through social media and media outlets. He encouraged reliance on official sources for information and responsible engagement with rumors and misleading information.
Brigadier General Al-Jaradi stated, “The current phase requires a vigilant security institution, an aware community, and a cohesive internal front.” He affirmed that the General Administration for Moral Guidance launches this campaign based on its responsibility in the field of awareness and guidance, believing in the importance of raising awareness, readiness, and enhancing unity and cooperation between the security institution and the community.
