The General Administration for Moral Guidance and Public Relations at the Ministry of Interior has stressed the necessity of maintaining the confidentiality of information and data related to military and security operations. The Ministry urges reliance on official sources for information regarding developments and field operations.
In a recent statement, the administration clarified that all security units and agencies in liberated provinces will respond firmly and legally to any actions that could jeopardize the safety of forces and the integrity of operations. This includes photographing, publishing, or circulating information, news, or images related to troop movements, as well as sharing details about locations, deployments, missions, capabilities, and field procedures before they receive approval from authorized official entities.
The statement highlighted that disseminating sensitive military and security information provides adversaries with exploitable insights, potentially affecting the course and outcomes of military operations. Therefore, strict adherence to publication regulations is essential, and sharing any unauthorized military and security information is prohibited.
The statement also noted that any actions taken against violators will occur within the legal framework, following verification of facts and responsibilities. The Ministry will respect constitutional and legal rights and freedoms while balancing freedom of expression with the need to protect national security and ensure the safety of armed forces, security personnel, and citizens.
The Moral Guidance Department reminded the public that safeguarding national security and the safety of armed forces and security agencies is a shared responsibility. Awareness of the dangers associated with sharing sensitive information is crucial for the success of national efforts during this critical phase and serves as a fundamental basis for achieving victories in battlefields.
The Ministry called on all citizens, both domestically and abroad, as well as media outlets, journalists, activists, and users of social media platforms, to exercise national responsibility. They urged individuals to refrain from photographing, publishing, or circulating any content that includes sensitive military or security information.
